Hello,

I bought a new pc a few days ago but haven't had the time to set it up. I am now about to buy the perpetual licence for Trados Studio 2024 Freelance. My question is the following: can I install this perpetual license on my old pc first and then, in a few days time, install it on my new pc too...?
I suppose I can, deactivating the license on the old pc and then activating the one on the new pc. I just wanted to double check with anyone a bit more Trados savvy than myself... See more

FWIW, there used to be a version of Trados called Freelance Plus, which allowed you to install it on two computers at the same time. As far as I can tell, this option is no longer available to new users.

It is my understanding that you can actually do this, yes. When you install it on the new computer, you have to deactivate it on the old computer.

Yes, you can install it on one computer, and then transfer the license to another Dec 17, 2024

You deactivate Trados in the old computer and then you can activate it on the new computer.
