In memoriam
From an even "earlier one" than you are :-) Jun 13, 2010

Hi Mats,

I appreciate your article because it is an excellent idea you had to bring back memories of ProZ early days to the "early ones" as you and I, and to introduce the newcommers to this very exciting period.

Hi Mats,

I appreciate your article because it is an excellent idea you had to bring back memories of ProZ early days to the "early ones" as you and I, and to introduce the newcommers to this very exciting period.

I happen to criticize some ProZ aspects, from time to time, but 1) criticism may be both very productive and positive for those who are trying to achieve continuous improvements, and 2) I don't forget what was the translators life before ProZ, which is something that newcomers cannot even imagine. Maybe the image of the Saharan desert could be the closest to the reality.

I said that I am an "earlier one" than you are. Yes, you are the number 1749, I am the number 313, and I am proud of that.
About this fact, I have only one regret to express : I expected that for the 10th anniversary, ProZ could have made some sort of favour or gift to the "early ones" (those who registred in 1999) who are still around, for instance a discount on subscription fees. Nothing came. Too bad

Long life to ProZ

A HISTORY of ProZ - the first ten years, beginning in 1999! Mar 20, 2022

Why isn't this article a permanent link prominently displayed in the homepage instead of being hidden in "miscellaneous?" Do not hide such a treasure under a bushel!

I have participated over the years since I joined in "the early years."

I don't know what member number I have, but being a welcomed free member has been appreciated.

It's a blog-style article from 2009, and it's not a very comprehensive history either.
