Full version control with Kilgray Translation Technologies’ memoQ 5.0



 Kilgray Translation Technologies, developers of translation industry pioneers memoQ, TM Repository and qTerm, has announced the availability of memoQ 5.0, WebTrans, and Content Connectors for the memoQ server.

 

Introducing revolutionary concepts and features for the translation industry, memoQ 5.0 offers a wealth of productivity boosters for freelance translators, language service providers and enterprise customers alike. Including Versioning, Track Changes, X-Translate and Post Translation Analysis, the AuditTrail concept simplifies and makes the whole translation workflow more transparent. With Content Connectors, memoQ follows not only those changes that were implemented in translation documents but also monitors changes made in CMS, Subversion and FTP folders, and can assign changed and new content for translation.

memoQ 5.0’s Cascading Filters connect the output of one filter to the input of another, turning any type of non-translatable content into memoQ tags. Working with WebTrans, an online translation interface connected to the memoQ server, translators can now be part of online projects without needing to install memoQ on their computers. Term candidates can be extracted easily through memoQ 5.0’s Term extraction feature.

Integrated with TM Repository, Kilgray’s Translation Memory Management system, memoQ server users can now add and manage all TM Repository entries directly from within memoQ.

Further improvements include analysis of formatting tags, changing translation status manually, go to segment number, adding more target languages to your translation project, progress reporting based on words or characters, adding terms simultaneously to multiple term bases, and 20 other smaller features.
