تَتربَّعُ التَّرْجمةُ الطبِّية على مَوْضعٍ مُرْتَفع، فـي نَقْل الـمَعْرفةِ الصحِّية والـمُسْتَجِدَّات الطبِّية العلميَّة، لِـمَا لها من أثرٍ كَبير فـي صحَّة النَّاس ومَعيشتِهم اليوميَّة. وهذا ما يَجْعل إيصالَ هذه الـمَعْرفَة بدقَّةٍ ووُضُوح مهمًّا جدًّا، ربَّما يفوق فـي أهمِّيته سائِرَ التَّرْجمات الأُخْرَى. ومن هنا جاءت فكرةُ هذا الكتاب «معالم فـي التَّرْجمة الطبِّية».
