Website word count Jul 26, 2015

It's also possible to Google "website word count". I got quite a few hits (many more if you omit the quotation marks), but I've never used a tool to do it - I generally have the client send an MS Word version for website translations. It's too easy to miss something otherwise.

I tried some Internet tools, but nothing worked properly. If you google it, you will have some hit, but nothing useful.

Waiting someone that really tried something that works.

I believe this is the only reliable method. And this is the way it should be done: it's client's responsibility to prepare website materials for translation.

I get a list with all urls using something like this: http://www.xsitemap.com/

I introduce all urls in a web word counter, for example this one: http://www.mancko.com/contador-de-palabras-de-sitio-web/es/ (one per line)
