Hi everyone!
While chatting to some Ingress friends (www.ingress.com), someone called someone else a "forceur" as a joke, and we're trying to figure out the appropriate term in English.
The description is someone who is very eager to get something, to the point of being overbearing.
Is there a single term (preferably slang, however regional) to describe this?

The first word that springs to my mind is the adjective "pushy", as in "he's so pushy", "pushy parents".

This is probably slang as well - I'm not sure!

Eager beaver, perhaps? Sep 15, 2017

That would be a common enough US label for someone who seems overly enthusiastic about something.

Eager beaver Sep 15, 2017

I don't think "eager beaver" suggests the element of bossiness of the word "forceur", whereas "pushy" does. An eager beaver is someone who is madly keen but not necessarily bossy or pushy.
