| Depot - deposit oder portfolio? security deposit account Explanation: Hi there, I had to translate a glossary for an Austrian bank a while back and they used Depot in the sense of either "Ort zur Aufbewahrung von wertvollen Gegenständen", or "Wertpapierdepot - Spezialkonto zur Verrechnung und Verwahrung von Wertpapieren". I used "safe deposit" for the first and security deposit account (after a fair bit of research) for the second - which is what it seems to be in your case. I would avoid "deposit" completely and either use "security deposit account" or your "portfolio". Hope that helps |
