My activity as a literary translator began in 1989. Since then I’ve been working regularly for a number of Portuguese publishing houses, having translated so far over 150 novels, biographies, historical romance, etc., all published. Among them, some are winners of the Man Booker Prize and the International Man Booker Prize. Iǘe also been awarded the Portuguese Translators' Association 1st prize for the translation of "Vegetarian" by Han Kang.
