Mar 24 (posted via ProZ.com):  Still looking for opportunities as I consider a full return to translation in a few years. For now, I am available to work part-time. Currently, my primary occupation is teaching freshman composition (college writing). I also teach English as a Second Language in the City University of New York Language Immersion Program (CLIP). I am ready to accept any translation work that falls under my purview. ...more, + 1 other entry »

Bio

Born and educated primarily in the Ivory Coast, I immigrated to New York in 1996. Since then, I have taught English and English as a Second Language in various venues, including at the secondary and college levels. I hold a bachelor's and master's degree in English from the Universite Nationale de Cote d'Ivoire, as well as a bachelor's in liberal arts and sciences and a master's degree in English Education. I also defended my dissertation and completed my doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in January 2018. I currently teach freshman composition at Fordham University and English as Second Language in the CUNY Language Immersion Program.

I acquired my translation skills while completing my education at the Universite Nationale de Cote d'Ivoire. I subsequently attended the New York University translation program from 1998-2000.

Prior to moving to the US, I worked on various translation contracts while teaching at the American Business School (AMBIZ), a language school in Abidjan, the Ivorian capital.
