Bio

I have worked for almost five years at Nintendo of Europe in Frankfurt am Main in the Localization department. One of the best experience of my life, and the one which helped me the most in becoming a professional in the field.

I've always been an avid gamer. When I was 4 years old, I had my first console and never stopped playing ever since. In my childhood, my mother used to complain about the time I spent playing video games, while nowadays… my wife does! That is the only difference…

While translating, one of my goal is to make sure that the player will feel the flow of the text as natural as possible. It's often really hard to adapt item names into a non-English language, for example, due to the fact that the Fantasy genre people love so much has been localized in different language only recently, and people my age usually prefer the sound of, say, “Fireball” compared to its Italian equivalent "Palla di fuoco". Nonetheless, an expanding market such as the video games' one deserves new adepts for each language, hence my "heroic undertake" to give them a reliable source for fun and immersion!

Although video games are my main field of expertise, over the years I expanded the services I offer to my clients, and nowadays I'm also translating comic books, literature and marketing texts, social media contents and blogs.
