Source text - Arabic Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC) summarizes a group of three inherited cholestatic dis- eases which may start early after birth or at young age and may rapidly progress to end-stage disease [166]. Mutations in canalicular transporter genes of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters are responsi- ble for these rare disorders.
PFIC type 1 (formerly ‘‘Byler disease”) typically pre- sents in the neonatal period with signs and symptoms (pruritus!) of liver disease. Elevation of serum transam- inases, bilirubin and bile acids is contrasted by low levels of cGT (in contrast to biliary atresia and Alagille syn- drome). Liver histology reveals fibrosis, but no bile duct proliferation. Most patients develop end-stage liver dis- ease before the end of the first decade of life. Diarrhea, pancreatitis, failure to thrive, and hearing deficits are extrahepatic manifestations of this genetic defect caused by mutations in the ATP8B1 gene which encodes a phospholipid (phosphatidylserine?) flippase, FIC1 [167,168].

The term society signifies a group of people who share a common dwelling and who are dependent on each other for their survival and well-being. [1] The world-system is comprised of heterogeneous nations and societies. “A society is an organization of people who share a common territory, governed themselves and cooperate to secure the survival the group. Not all societies are nations; there may be several societies within a nation.”[2] Just as all persons are linked to the world-system through their societal membership, so are they linked to their own society through their participation in its institutions.[3] In one way or another, every single person has some kind of relationship to the central institutions of family, religion, the economy, education and the state. The functioning of these institutions influences individuals’ lives directly, often affecting them differently depending on their race or ethnicity, class or gender etc. These factors are considered to be the organizing principles around which social institutions operate.

This is Mona Ebead. I have been working as a translator since 2009 (currently have been working for 10 years). I graduated from the faculty of pharmacy, Ain-Shams University 2008 class (Excellent with honor).
I have gone through many fields of work, including Translation, content writing, Trans-Creation among others.
I am Professional in using SDL Trados (own 2017, and plan to upgrade to 2019). I also master using Mate-cat, and Mem-source, in addition to being familiar with memoQ, Wordfast (especially the online tools), as well as many other online platforms such as word-bee, Qordoba, and etc.
I am a pharmacist (professional in medical translation), worked in patents, medical researches, life sciences, etc; and got an IP diploma from Beni-Sweif Law School (Master Patent and IP translation), in addition to being an expert in translating software manuals, Vision 2030 Reports, and RFPs, Electrical Appliances manuals (had a 2 year contract for Hommer appliances).
In addition to being a Translator and Proofreader, I am an IP expert, Ip trainer and above all a passionate ever learner. My career in translation included approx 4.0 million words in patents in addition to approx 3.0 million words in other fields.
