A Teacher turned Translator:
After twenty successful years as Head of German at a large independent school in London, I left my teaching job, qualified as a translator, and never looked back!

My previous career required the use of both languages on a daily basis. As a result, I never lost my native proficiency, despite being based in the UK. I maintain a large network of German-speaking contacts, both personal and professional, and travel regularly between the UK and my native country.

Qualifications:
- DipTrans IoLET with Distinction and Merit: Diploma in Translation, Chartered Institute of Linguists, UK

- Erstes Staatsexamen (MA equivalent) in Germanistik and Anglistik, Dortmund University: Literature and Linguistics, also Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology, and Education Studies
