my name is Valentina, I guaduated in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation majoring in English language and I hold a Master in Specialized Translation (travel&tourism, technical and medical areas). I currently work also as a part-time ESL teacher at a language centre and in the past 14 years I have dealt with ENG-ITA translations including agreements, corporate communications, advertisements and brochures and concerning different fields (automotive, tourism, marketing) on behalf of the companies I have worked for.

Since September 2015 I have been working as a freelance translator, subtitler and transcriber and my projects so far include:

- subtitling movies, TV series, marketing videos and commercials

- translating surveys, safety data sheets, certificates, company descriptions, user's manuals, websites, CVs, press releases

- transcribing and translating audio files

- machine translation post-editing

When translating I use SDL Trados Studio 2017 while, as regards subtitling, I am particularly familiar with tools such as Subtitle Workshop, VisualSubSync and Aegisub.
