There are no known risks to the types of magnetic fields and radio waves that are used in MRI studies, but there is always a possible unknown risk with any test.
You must lie still in a small space. This may be uncomfortable. If you have a fear of being in closed or narrow spaces, you may need a mild sedative medication to allow you to comfortably complete the examination. MRI scanners are noisy at times. This is normal and not harmful.
The imaging agent (dye) that is injected before the scan may cause you to experience headache, dizziness or faintness, a decrease in your blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, sweating, changes in how you taste things, symptoms at the injection site. If you have experienced any of these symptoms previously with an imaging agent, please inform the study doctor. Study personnel will discuss these risks with you before your MRI scan.

Source text - English Bulimia describes an illness which contains a range of very specific behaviours. Typically are regular episodes of “binge” eating, usually in private, of foods believed to be fattening and therefore in some way “forbidden” to someone conscious of needing to control her weight. Foods typically eaten during a binge will include biscuits, chocolate, crisps, bowls of cereal, large amounts of toast with butter, chips, cakes, tubs of ice cream etc. Eating continues until the urge to eat is gone, tension is reduced, physical satiation is reached, (often to the point of pain), or the person is interrupted.
Sometimes the food is enjoyed, but it is more likely to be eaten quickly and without tasting, and our definition requires that this kind of eating will be accompanied by feelings of anxiety, guilt and remorse. Following a binge, but not always immediately afterwards, there will be an attempt to get rid of the calories absorbed by making oneself sick, and/or by taking laxatives. Some bulimics try to contain their weight by indulging in excessive exercise and additionally by starving for periods of time.

Source text - English The day is quickly approaching when an innocent accident while weeding in the garden could cost you your life. The tiniest scratch, graze or cut could be terminal. David Cameron was right when he said last week that the rise in antibiotic-resistant bacteria could cast us back to the Dark Ages.
He called on governments and drug companies to work together to “accelerate” the discovery of a new generation of antibiotics. But even this would not solve the problem. It would be nothing more than a sticking plaster, concealing an underlying wound that we all need to accept exists. Antibiotics are a resource, perhaps one of the most precious we have ever discovered, yet we have failed to see them as such.
In under 100 years, mankind has managed to make one of the most powerful discoveries in history pitifully impotent. I remember sitting in a lecture theatre at medical school nearly two decades ago being told how we were heading for a cataclysmic day when antibiotics were no longer effective.
The professor of microbiology put up graphs and slides that showed horrifying rates of resistance among microbes. We have known about bacteria’s ability to evade eradication and develop into superbugs for decades, yet have done nothing to avoid it. Even someone with the most rudimentary knowledge of evolution can grasp why, by overusing antibiotics, we render them useless. Like Cassandra in Greek mythology, we predict the future but are cursed to live it.

Nie jest to jednak rozwiązanie problemu, to tylko plaster na ranę, zakrywający coś, czego istnienie musimy wszyscy zaakceptować. Antybiotyki są zasobami, być może jednymi z najcenniejszych, jakie udało się nam odkryć, a mimo to nie potrafimy postrzegać ich w ten sposób.
Wystarczyło niecałe 100 lat, aby człowiek zamienił jedno z najpoteżniejszych odkryć w historii w żałośnie nieskuteczne narzędzie. Pamiętam, jak prawie dwie dekady temu, siedząc w auli wykładowej uczelni medycznej słuchaliśmy profesora mikrobiologii i jego wizji zbliżającego się kataklizmu - dnia, w którym antybiotyki przestaną działać.
Na wykresach i slajdach przedstawił nam zastraszający współczynnik wzrostu odporności mikrobów. Od dziesiątek lat wiedzieliśmy o wyjątkowej odporności bakterii oraz mutacji w superbakterię, i nie podjęliśmy żadnych kroków, żeby temu zapobiec. Nawet ktoś z najbardziej elementarną znajomością procesu ewolucji jest w stanie zrozumieć, dlaczego nadużywanie antybiotyków doprowadziło do ich bezużyteczności.
