Hello everybody!

My name is Elke and I am a native Dutch/ Flemish speaker of Belgian descent.  I have however lived in the UK for the majority of the last 25 years and possess a high-level proficiency in English.

My wide-ranging interests are reflected throughout my life and my career.  As a young girl, I graduated in Eastern Cultures and Philology (University of Gent-Belgium) before travelling quite extensively throughout Asia.  On my return to Europe, I settled in the UK where I followed an MA in International Politics before retraining as a nurse (both University of York) and starting a family.  My personal life, education and career path have all been multilingual.

I have a curious mind, a love of language and an eye for detail.  I am reliable as well as hardworking and aim to deliver high-quality translations which are stylistically matched to the source document.  I am willing to consider any type of general translation as well as those in the fields of Nursing/ History/ Culture/ Politics/ Media...  I employ reasonable rates, respond promptly to emails and stick to agreed deadlines.
