Having worked as full-time translator between 1989 and 1992 in various IBM AS/400 applications. Have been working as part-time translator and proofreader since 1992 for several local and multinational localisation vendors. Text, web site, product documentation, GUI, Help and SW localisation projects in IT, telecom, electronics, medical electronics, medical documentation, business management, corporate and legal documentation areas. Using SDL Trados, SDLX, Tstream, Wordfast and Star Transit. Among major end-customers are Microsoft, Lotus, Google, Oracle, Nokia, Philips, Kodak, Canon, Western Digital, Nvidia, Ericsson, Symantec, HP, GlaxoSmithKline, Avon, Kraft, Lenovo, Wacker Neuson, Covidien, Novartis, Conduit, Hilton and major localisation vendors are Lionbridge, Transperfect, PTI, PTSGI, Lanzillotta, Infotrans. Experience of ca. 9 million words in total in English-Turkish language pair. Current rates are € 0.08/word and $ 0.10/word for SW localisation; € 0.065/word and $ 0.08/word for the rest.
