In addition to the more technical areas below,
I also particularly enjoy translating prose and discursive texts.

Legal: I have 15 years' experience of working for leading
international law firms in Italy.  I translate
and proof-read/edit a wide variety of legal documentation, reports and general
correspondence for various areas including:

- Commercial (licensing, distribution, share and purchase, agency and
outsourcing agreements, data protection and privacy related documentation,
patents and related documents including applications, extensions, etc)

- Corporate (memorandum of association, by-laws, merger deeds, etc)

- Banking and Financial Markets (loan agreements, term sheets, pledge
agreements, management reports, financial statements, etc)

- Employment Law (recruitment materials, employment contracts,
non-disclosure agreements, bonuses, confidentiality undertakings, performance improvement
plans, remuneration plans, stock option plans, dismissal letters, collective
dismissal documentation, legal briefs, settlement agreements)

- Intellectual property (contentious and non-contentious
documentation relating to patents, trademarks, designs, infringement
assessments, declarations of non-infringement, co-existence agreements)

- Personal Data Processing / Privacy (GDPR, domestic regulations, privacy policies, privacy statements)

- Litigation (preliminary injunction applications and decisions, main
action proceedings, court expert reports, appeal briefs)

 

I have a particular focus in the following sectors: TMT
(telecommunications, media and technology); Consumer Goods, Life
Sciences, Energy and Fashion & Retail.

 

Financial/Business. I translate a range of financial
documents including financial statements, balance sheets, reports for
settlement agreements (remuneration, accrued bonuses etc. and
application of CCNL), quarterly, annual reports and related documentation, etc

Life Sciences/medical: I have experience of
translating a range of documents relating to the pharmaceutical and
biotechnology sectors including clinical trial agreements, administrative
request/formalities, assent/consent forms, data protection forms, product
labelling, product liability claims, product instruction leaflets, marketing
authorisation related materials, etc

I also translate training manuals and brochures
for software applications, products and IT services.

I have experience of translating film reviews, art history
reviews and biographies relating to the arts, history and literature
sectors.  In addition, I also translate
profiles for University graduation fairs for students in the fashion &
design, film and theatre studies and art history.

In terms of creative writing, I have experience of writing
and translating marketing/advertising materials (web sites, brochures, online
materials, advertising blurbs).
