No. I don't listen to podcasts about anything. I think podcasts are for strap-hanging commuters.

Occasional long car journeys Nov 2, 2019

If I have a long drive by myself, I do try to download audio of the documentary type, alternating with shows like the Kitchen Cabinet (keeps me up to date with ingredients!). Any pointers for translation podcasts?

Long journeys and occasional afternoon/evening walks Nov 2, 2019

I listen to the podcasts on "Speaking of Translation" and I found some of them really interesting so far, occasionally I also listen to TED podcasts to stay up to date with what happen in the world. Do you have any other suggestions on podcasts about translation?

Podcasts are for commuters, and most of us on this site have opted out of the rat race.

Like others, I don't have the time. If I'm not at my desk translating or writing, I'm outside with my dog, enjoying our beautiful tree-filled community, paying attention to Mother Nature. BTW, the weather here in San Diego is still warm and lovely. No signs of autumn as yet. Our area has escaped the wild fires.

reading is faster Nov 3, 2019

Written material you can skim through, find out if the author knows something that you don't know, get to those parts you need. You can't do that with oral presentations such as podcasts. It's too time consuming.
