Toute seule comme une grande, as they say in French. I’m a widow and my children are all grown up and gone. Two live nearby, my youngest daughter lives in Mexico now. We are in touch almost daily. | | | Tom in London United Kingdom Local time: 10:22 Member (2008) Italian to English Meglio soli che mal accompagnati | Apr 12, 2020 |

We are in touch almost daily. (as they say in Italian). I've been living alone for a long time now and I like it a lot better than living in conflictual relationships (my cat doesn't argue with me and isn't trying to control me or change me). So to quote a famous song, I'm easy. Also very fortunate compared to some, because living alone makes it easier to minimise the risk of infection coming into the house. | | | Mario Freitas Brazil Local time: 07:22 Member (2014) English to Portuguese + ... I'm alone with my wife. Kinda boring sometimes. But my son is all alone at home, so he has come twice to spend a few days with us. I hope he does it more times. We're not that paranoid not to host our kid if he is also in isolation and not infected. | |

I've been living alone for 20+ years, although pre-pandemic I used to spend weekends with my BF. Due to travel restrictions, this is no longer possible. There are lots of pets available for adoption, but I'm happy being petless, but that could change. | | | Tom in London United Kingdom Local time: 10:22 Member (2008) Italian to English What I thought | Apr 12, 2020 |

... until my youngest daughter went to Mexico and left her dog with me, now though I will be very happy when she comes back I dread the day her dog will no longer be with me. | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: How many people are you living with during this COVID-19 crisis?
