Bio
After having got “Maturità Linguistica” (Secondary school-leaving language examinations), I went abroad to study and work as an au pair girl:
- 8 months in Germany ( Hannover ) and
- 3 months in England ( near London )

Meanwhile I attended an advanced course of English in Cambridge for a month.

When I came back to Italy I attended “Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori” (High School for Interpreters and Translators) in Milan, where I got the University diploma in ENGLISH and GERMAN languages.

I’m specialized in the translation of TECHNICAL / COMMERCIAL documents, brochures, manuals, operating instructions and technical specifications from English and German into Italian.

I also work as an interpreter at Milan’s Fair ( Intel, Mostra Convegno, SMAU, Mipel, SIMEI, Fluidtrans Compomac, MICAM, Salone del Mobile, Xylexpo, Sposa Italia, MIDO, Power Gen) ICOH, at Bologna’s Fair (CERSAIE), at Cologne’s Fair ( Domotechnica ), at Berlin’s Fair ( Home-Tech ), at Karlsruhe’s Fair (RESALE-Germany) and at Basel’s Fair (SwissTech).

In 2000 I attended a French course, an INTERMEDIATE level.

February/July 2003: I attended a Master in MEDICAL/ PHARMECEUTICAL translation in Milan and
passed the final examination with the best marks: 100/100. During the course learning lessons were given, as well as many different translations of protocols and patient information leaflets and medical articles were made from English into Italian.

November 2003: I took part in a project sponsored by University “Bocconi” in Milan and I made the translation for an ECONOMIC-PHARMECEUTICAL text.

April-May 2005: I attended an English course of juridical-legal translations organized by AITI
(a National Association for Translators and Interpreters) in Milan.
During the course we dealt with the following subjects: Agreements, Purchase Orders: Terms and conditions, Articles of Association, Power of Attorney, Judgment of the Court of First Instances, Complaints, Certiorari and so on.

May 2006: I attended a course in the basic and advanced use of WORDFAST, organized by AITI in Milan.

April-May 2009: I attended a seminar on ‘Legal English of International Disputes’ and a seminar on
‘Legal English of International Agreements’, organized by Lexmeeting in Milan.
During the seminar we dealt with the following subjects: Judicial and extra-judicial dispute resolution proceeding and judicial and extra-judicial arbitrations, ADR procedures (Alternative Dispute Resolution); supply agreements, license agreements, agency agreements, shareholders agreements, merger and acquisition agreements and so on).

May 2010: I attended a seminar on ‘Sector analyses and balance sheets for a correct financial translation and interpretation.

January 2011: I attended a seminar on ‘Perfumes Translation’. The translation in the sector of perfumes and of scents, organized at the Italian-British Association in Genua.

February 2011: I attended a seminar on ‘Fashion Translation’. The translation in the sector of fashion, organized by a translation agency in Milan.

October 2011: I attended a seminar on the translation of balance sheets, of consolidated income statements, of consolidated balance sheets, of consolidated statement of cash flows and of notes to the consolidated financial statements according to the IAS, IFRS and IFRIC standards.

I’m enrolled in the Roll of Experts at the Chamber of Commerce in Milan as translator-interpreter with the registration number no. 2245 for English and German.

I have 9-year experience as a free-lance translator and interpreter.
