2016 – Ongoing: Freelance English-to-Turkish Subtitle Translator

Since 2016, I’ve translated subtitles from English to Turkish for major US-based video streaming companies like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ through various intermediaries. I have comprehensive knowledge of their style guides and I can provide a full list of titles that I’ve worked on so far if requested.
I can work on web applications that belong to my customers. Otherwise, I have experience with Subtitle Edit and can work with my software. Mostly I work on English templates but if it’s not provided, I can also perform timing for transcribed text. Also, I am experienced with machine translation post-editing (MTPE).

2012– Ongoing: Freelance English-to-Turkish Video Game Translator

I have been the sole English to Turkish translator for the localization projects of massively multiplayer online games Rise of Immortals: Battle for Graxia and Blacklight: Retribution. I have also participated in localization projects of Neverwinter and Forsaken World.

During these projects, I had experience with not only translation of the software itself but also the translation of website content, interface of Arc platform, trailer subtitles, marketing announcements and social media posts. Currently, I am working on MY.GAMES’s tactical action MMO title Conqueror’s Blade. During all of these projects, I’ve used common computer-aided translation tools (CAT) like SDL Trados and MemoQ. I am quite experienced in both software.
