Bio

Born and raised in China, I speak both Mandarin and Cantonese as my mother tongues, though I've been living in the UK for over 15 years.

Having gained a BA in Society, Culture & Media and a MA in Filmmaking, I became a self-shooting director/editor making documentaries and video contents for both artistic and corporate projects. I discovered my passion for this profession when working in audiovisual translation especially subtitling for media production companies and market research agencies. And it prompted me to achieve a post-graduate level Diploma in Translation (General, Literature and Social Science) from the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

In the last 4 years, I've expanded my translation experience in banking and finance, consumer goods (health, hygiene, cosmetics, etc.) and logistics.

I also have experience in journalism and ethnographic research.
