这和10 work day（10个工作日）、10 business day（10个营业日）类似。基本上都是指open and conduct business的意思。对学校来说，就是上课。学生们经常说，今天学校不上课，就是No school，也就是说今天不算一个school day。

Comment: "谢谢大家的建议！其实大家的说法都各有特色，至于用哪种翻译，的确是件就见仁见智的事。我经常发现一些天天用的英文翻译成中文后就很难满意。这就是一个例子。经过比较后，我还是选用了“上课日”，主要是感觉这样说比较顺口，不会引起什么误解。"

在学日or上课日 are both fine. I prefer the former translation because it sounds more sophisticated.

"10 school days" 与 "10 work days" 和 "10 business days" 一样，其真正意义在于跳过星期六和星期日来计算的天数。
国内的许多大学有所谓的校历，将一学年的总周数和每周上课的日期开列出来，便于师生查阅。
“课业”与英文的 "schooling" 比较吻合。因为师生到校不仅是上课，还有图书馆阅读、实验室活动、文体活动等等，可以包括在“课业”这个概念中。
仅供参考。
