il concetto che il tuo brano cerca di descrivere è quello della "volontarietà" (natura non coatta) degli scambi economici. Il problema è che quel "willing", attribuito al venditore, è un po' ostico da tradurre in italiano.
Un modo per aggirare il problema è quello di attribuire il carattere volontario alla transazione, come nell'espressione che ti ho suggerito. (Eviterei di usare "vendita" perché essendoci già un riferimento al venditore e all'acquirente, è palese che solo di vendita si può trattare.)
Certo, sarebbe stato utile un po' di contesto in più...
