English to Italian Bus/Financial Finance (general)

The text is about a cheque/wire fraud scheme, in which victims are sent a cheque they shall deposit, then they are instructed to send a wire transfer for the cheque amount minus a commission. The amount is usually credited but then, after the wire is made. the cheque turns out to be counterfeit. Here is some more context:

"On November 27,2006, we received notification from fed that the check was fraudulent and our account would be debited for the amount of $28,530.50.
We immediately requested the reversal of the wire from the bank in Italy thru our correspondent, XXX.
On December 6, 2006, XXX sent us notification that they had received a "refusal to refund amount" notice."
