Turkish to English Art/Literary Media / Multimedia News Item
Hi,

The title:
“Gülben’den Sibel Can’a kalın gönderme”

More details:
Gülben Ergen, Kurban Bayramı’nda sahne almak üzere önceki gün Kıbrıs’a uçtu. Uçakta Sibel Can ile Seda Sayan da vardı. Üç yıldız, birbirlerini görmezden geldi. Hürriyet’in haberine göre; 1 numaralı koltukta oturan Ergen, muhabirlerin “Uçakta Sibel Can’ı gördünüz mü?” sorusuna “Ben bir numaradaydım, arkamdakileri görmedim” yanıtını verdi. Ünlü sanatçı, “Bu sözleriniz Sibel Can’a ince bir gönderme mi?” sorusu üzerine de “İnce değil, kalın bir gönderme yaptım” dedi. Sibel Can da Ergen’i görüp görmediği sorusunu “Valla ben bir tek Seda’yı gördüm, o sorduğunuz kişiyi görmedim” diye yanıtladı.

Thank you,

Simon

Gulben disses Sibel Can.

As widely used on the internet like "Madonna disses Lady Gaga", "Eminem disses Britney Spears", etc.

insuniation

Ref.-1:
"insuniation: something that is insinuated; especially : a sly, subtle, and usually derogatory utterance."

"ince gönderme"="veiled insuniation"
"kalın gönderme"="open/strong insinuation"

Actually, "thin insinuation" would be a better translation for "ince gönderme", me thinks...
