لغة نص المصدر - أنجليزي There was a time I suffered so much I wanted to get it out of me. I would cut my arms (I would hurt my soul), not to kill myself. I don’t want to die. I know I am lucky to be on this earth. I did it so the physical pain would calm the pain that was eating me inside. Nothing was erased. I leave with my past tucked away deep inside of me. It comes out as an explosion and…It invades me. I believe We are messengers on Earth. I believe in angels. I am blessed to tell myself I suffered that much to become who I am today. There are certain sufferings which can only be forgotten once we have succeeded in floating above our own pain, and We all fall to the floor at some point. It’s how you pick yourself up. That’s the real challenge, isn’t it?. I’ve learned that there’s light even in the darkest places. You can't find peace by avoiding life, so I’ve decided to look life in the face, always to look life in the face, and to know it for what it is, at last, to know it, to love it for what it is, because what lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.

Fahd Hassanein is a senior Egyptian translator with a degree in pharmacy from Cairo University. He is specialized and experienced in translating life-sciences and patent-related texts in the Arabic-English language pair.
Fahd’s professional translation career evolved through several stages. Before embarking on the freelance translation career, he worked as a website content editor for an Arabic/English portal. His work was primarily concerned with translating and editing content in both language directions. He then worked in providing translation services at a reputable translation company, a stage at which he worked alongside project management, business development and vendor management teams. This helped build his awareness of the translation process starting from the initial offering of translation services to the client up to delivering the final localized product.
With an expansive background of traveling to different places during his childhood and afterwards, he was able to note the various cultural factors affecting multilingual communication regarding aspects of cultural sensitivity and the importance of accurate language usage. This helped fuel his interest in the effect of cultural awareness and subject specialization on the quality and validity of translation.
