Abstreifthrombus

German to English Medical Medical (general)
VE (Vorerkrankungen) Nephroblastomatose bds, Wilms Tumor links (C64), Z. nach nierenerhaltender Resektion bds.(C92.4), bekannter Abstreifthombus linke V. jugularis interna (I82.81).

The "Thombus" is taken from the source and is obviously a misspelling for thrombus. But I get zero hits from "Abstreifthrombus". Could this mean a detached clot (thrombus)? Any help would be appreciated!

In certain manoeuvres of vascular intervention a blood clot ('thrombus') is sheared off the vessel wall by the catheter or other interventional devices but remains in place more or less. This is how I understand it. I am currently not able to provide an idiomatic translation, though...

Much less likely, this might be a transcription error for 'Abscheidungsthrombus'. Try google it, but it does not make very much sense to me.

I like dislodged thrombus as may occur inadvertently during certain endovascular examination techniques such as PTCA involving recanalization, stent placement, etc.
