Spanish term

red sectorizada

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Water supply
From a report in Spanish from Spain for translation to British English. Desccribing a recently implemented water supply network configuration:

Giving:

"ESQUEMA GENÉRICO DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DE UNA RED SECTORIZADA"

I have also seen "clusters" mentioned in English for collections of "sectors" or "districts" in water supply networks.

Discussion

BristolTEc (asker) Sep 20, 2016:
I had thought of "sectorised network", but this really is not in common use in English and the use of the abbreviation "DMA" in the Spanish suggests the division into "districts", "sectors", "clusters" or whatever is in common use in the English-speaking world, so there should be a specific term in English.

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Many thanks. Not used as commonly in English as Spanish though, sometimes talked around "sub-divided into", etc."
