I don't set out to exercise (although I probably should). However, I do take the dog for a walk a few times a week and I also push two small children around in a heavy double pushchair a few times a week, covering a couple of miles each time, so I think that probably counts as a form of exercise.

I used to play tennis and do a lot more walking, but it's so hard to find the time these days!

Oh yes! Feb 16, 2011

Two hours at the gym 4-5 days a week. I do mostly cardio: elliptical bike and treadmill. It is essential for such a sedentary job. It also helps me disconnect from work and I also watch TV while I work out. All in all, a highly recommendable experience.

squash Feb 16, 2011

I'm into squash lately. One hour twice or three times a week does miracles for me.

Regularly, I amuse myself spending at a fitness center( and very reasonable usage fee) for my health.....aerobics, zumba, yoga, and chatting with other members.

Yoga! Feb 16, 2011

A great way to relax, move the fat into the right places and strengthen the muscles. And it does wonders for your back!

I'm not a huge exercise fan, so exercise has to be fun and/or I really have to get something out of it. I've been horseback riding six days a week for almost two years now and recently started doing Bikram's Yoga about 3 times a week again. I think that's a great balance for all these hours in front of the computer

I've just come back from my weekly dance class - called Aerodance, it's a mixture of aerobics, jazz dance, classical dance, salsa - you name it - great fun! I also walk the dog twice a day, play badminton and do yoga, with tennis in the summer - oh and gardening too - assuming that my last weekend's task of shifting barrowloads of manure on my allotment counts!

I think it's so important to exercise when you do a sedentary, computer-based job and when you work from home. It gets me out in the fresh air and socialising with people and I'm sure I work better as a result.

Yes but Feb 16, 2011

Not in the sense of going to the gym or doing specific exercise routines other than the odd bout of stretching. I take the dog for a run on my bicycle every evening for up to an hour. Most days, I collect and chop up wood for my fireplace. I do a bit of gardening, sweeping up and other chores around the house... and I consider that sufficient exercise.

I just cannot fit in time for exercising on purpose. I take my daughter to kindergarten everyday in the bicycle trailer (riding the bike of course), my wife and I tend to try to go on long walks with out two girls a few times a week, but time is the biggest problem.
Want to get back to scuba diving this spring, as well as back to riding the 60 km a day that I used to before we had the children.

For one, wherever I need to go, I walk quite briskly if it is within a managable distance. This helps to clear my mind, does my body much good, and is also better for the environment.

While working, I use TPT (trigger point treatment) and stretch a lot. Well, not all the time, but often so that, along with the TPT, these little exercises prevent tense muscles, a sore spine, and even headaches.......
