Several months ago, I pass their test and signed a contract with them. When reading their induction materials, I find some online system in their ftp. Among them their is Translation Workplace Editors (Offline Client), I open the built-in sample and translate a couple of lines. I use online 'tools' all the time to help with my translations, but these are usually glossaries and other references. I tried Translation Workspace once. It was one of my favorite clients and they were paying, but I was not impressed. While it was simple to use, I found that I really missed some of the filtering and matching tools I had become accustomed to w/ Trados Studio. The worst problem was that I was terrified of losing network access or the system going down. Perhaps this is just a phob... Perhaps this is just a phobia of mine, but I take my deadlines very seriously and would hate to miss one because I lost internet access. The wifi at nearby coffee shops is slow, insecure, and closes by 9 to 10 pm. That is when I am just getting into my stride. ▲ Collapse | | |
