I made it up for a laugh and it's supposed to be amusing, not professional, slick or impressive. I also have a stylised version of my initials made up as a stamp/seal because a client once asked me for an invoice with a "company seal" and I cobbled one together, although I don't consider myself a "company"(or a seal, for that matter). I'm currently using my proz avatar (2 little donkeys please) as a logo.

And I'm quite proud of it. I designed it and my brother computerified it. My trading name is Floating World Translations and the logo incorporates a floating world. (Any associations with the floating world of Edo era Japan are purely and inadvisably intentional).

I just use the main Avatar from my website, he (because it's a little cartoon avatar of me) appears on my website, the signature line of my emails, my invoices and on my business cards. ...but it's not intentionally a "logo" as such, although it does fulfil quite a lot of that role.

I designed it myself in Photoshop one day when, most likely, I was procrastinating, and it's pretty terrible!

And I'm quite proud of it too. The original little owl in the middle of the logo was presented me by my former boyfriend Adam at the end of our 3-year relationship. It is a small wooden owl, given to him as a present by his mother and it was one of his favorite owls in his collection. We became friends forever and he gave me this little owl (my nickname "little owl" was also given by him). As in my owl collection the owl has names, I called the owl Felix, which means ... Also a full-fledged range of stationery. We don't print business cards any longer, though - I am glad about any customer who is even remotely in our time zone and we yet have to meet any of our customers in person. Our logo is simple and timeless, yet to create a copy from scratch on a different PC will turn out to be nearly impossible for an unskilled person, hehe.
