Thanks
Hi Gjorgji,

Nah, that's not the appropriate channel for troubleshooting. I recommend asking the folks on the Linux Mint forums. Don't forget to also provide your hardware details.

I'll try later, now hosting time out on that website. Anyway is not that important, but I want to know why I can't upgrade.
I'm also suspecting that I don't have enough space on my HDD, but the error message was that my internet connection is the problem.
Thank you for the links.

These Linux IT guys are very selective when it comes to comments, all I can read are commendable comments.
I even write comment on that blog with the instructions, but I don't see my comment yet.
I wonder why host is down on linuxmintforums, maybe they don't want to hear complaints.
Anyway, thanks again for your replies. | | | Novian Cahyadi Indonesia Local time: 15:00 Membro (2024) English to Indonesian INICIO DE TEMA

Spam filtering. Anyone who's ever run a website would know that spammers love to abuse the comment section. They're just doing the sensible thing to do.
And as I said, the blog isn't the appropriate channel for troubleshooting. Even if they approved your post, you're less likely going to get any help by asking there.

I can access the Linux Mint forums just fine. That's very odd indeed.

I can also access the linux mint forums now, but yesterday I wasn't able. I posted it, and let's see what will happen.
And, man I barely use my lap top, because I'm at home most of the time, but anyway I've read that the new xia has night light and some other cool stuff.

In my humble experience, websites tend to perform their routine maintenance over the weekend. Maybe that was what happened?
Anyway, hope your issue gets resolved. 👍 | | | probably maintenance | Jan 19 |

Well, how silly I am. A simple stuff like choosing option was causing the issue. Some Wayland mode, I guess.
Here, I asked on the forums, and I got reply and system upgraded.

Turned out it was due to AI scrapping their website and flooding the bandwidth. This was effectively a DDoS attack.

Now I'm starting to wonder if AI was also the cause of the problems we've been experiencing on ProZ.com. 🤔

Well, I don't know much about these stuff, viruses, DDoS, etc..., but it could be AI responsible for Proz.Com.
I mean, they make AI robot who "works" independently and gets data from everywhere on Internet and while doing that the servers are overloaded and go down, right?

Linux 6.14 Adds Support For The Microsoft Copilot Key Found On New Laptops
Newer laptops pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows have begun adding a "Copilot" key for launching Microsoft's Copilot AI assistant or other "chatbot" software.
