I have received a server project in MemoQ.
I am able to export the file to a bilnigual XLF doc, but the "Import" items are all greyed out.
Is there any practical reason for this?
My MemoQ is translator pro 5.0.58.

Since you are working on a server project, the project manager is responsible for adding/importing documents to the project. That's why you, the translator, can't import new files.
I hope this answers your question.

I am afraid I asked a wrong question
Jan 20, 2012
I do not want to add additional files to a project.
What I attempted to do is to export the content of the translatable file in the project, translate it elsewhere and import back.
However, also this seems not to be possible.

As far as I know, the PM has the ability to set certain permissions, and one of them is allowing the translator to export the files or preventing him from doing it.
