Forgotten wordcount for a cloud project Persoa que publicou o fío: Chloe Chevreton

Working in memoQ 6.5.19
I forgot to get a wordcount at the begining of a cloud translation Project, for which I was using both my local TM and my agency's server TM. I only got a wordcount a few hours later when I had already started translating and done quite a few words.
My PM who generally keeps all counts ALSO forgot to get this one...
Is there any way to get the original wordcounts? I really need to send my invoice asap.
Thanks for your an... See more Working in memoQ 6.5.19

Hi Chloe
It's not easy I don't think, but one way you could do it is to export all of the TUs since you started the translation into a new TM.
Then you can run Statistics using the normal TM and add in the figures from Statistics for the Project TM.
It may not apply to all types of project though, especially if there are large amounts of fuzzy matches.
I hope that helps, but please ask if you need more detail. | | | Project/normal TM | Mar 26, 2014 |
Hi Anthony,
Thanks a lot for your answer.
I think I need more detail: what is the "normal TM" in your explanation?
Is that the newly created TM where I first need to export TUs?
And the problem is I still wouldn't know how many words were 100-101% matches at the begining, because the TM for this project was already quite huge.

If you or the PM have a chance to filter the memory (with the Resource Console, select the memory, Edit, select a date and time in the "After field") to the segments done after the date and time you started working, you have the option of deleting the segments you newly translated, then do the Statistics, and then confirm again to restore the segments you have in your translated file. | |

Hi Tomas and thank you,
You solution sounds great. I just checked if I was able to edit the server's TM and I can do it.
I would just need confimation on the way I will restore segments back into the TM after that. I would just need to confirm them again right? I really want to be carefull for I am editing their TM not mine.
