How to propagate 80% matches Persoa que publicou o fío: Mohamed Mehenoun

Hello,
I'm using MemoQ for the first time and this is probably a pretty stupid question. But for the love of me, I can't find out how to do it on MemoQ!
I'm used to work with trados and the software automatically propagates matches that are above a certain value.
I would like to do the same thing with MemoQ but I can't find out how to set that up! I can see a window on the right giving me the match but it doesn't replace automatically the target in the segm... See more Hello,

I would like to do the same thing with MemoQ but I can't find out how to set that up! I can see a window on the right giving me the match but it doesn't replace automatically the target in the segment until I double click on it!
Thanks in advance for the help.
Kind regards,

I think it's pre-translate you need. It's in one of the top menus. | | | Automatic Lookup and Insertion | Feb 19, 2016 |
I think that what you mean to say is that you want 80% matches (or matches around that level) to be inserted automatically in a cell of the translation grid when you reach that cell, right?
(You mentioned "propagate," but "propagation" is the term used when you have the same source segment repeated several times in a document and you want to use the same translation in all of them).

Now, the threshold you mention does exist in memoQ:
- (In memoQ 2015) While in the translation grid (i.e. the editor where you translate a file) click the "Translation" tab to see its ribbon, then clic Translation Settings. Choose Automatic Lookup and Insertion.
- The threshold is in the "Minimum match rate" box. You probably have it a bit high, so change it to something under 80%.
- Also, make sure checkboxes "Automatically scan segments" and "Automatically insert best results after confirming segments" are enabled. This way, when you confirm a segment and the editor jumps to the next one, it will search the TM for suitable segments and insert the best one for you.
This dialog box also contains "Insert fragment assembled hit". If you enable this option, memoQ will grab bits and pieces from the concordance (the yellow items in the results pane) and try to compose a translation for you. I generally have it disabled, but sometimes benefit from it, like in long part lists where compound terms are made up of other terms that exist in the memory.
I hope this helps! ▲ Collapse | | | Mohamed Mehenoun Canada Local time: 12:19 English to French + ... INICIO DE TEMA Thanks a lot! | Mar 3, 2016 |
