Metatexis does no clean-up

Hello!I have a problem with Metatexis, when I press "final version" it doesn't do the clean-up and the source segments remain close to the translated ones. I have Word 2002 and XP. Should I re-install it? The support service told me the'll fix the bug but I was wondering if someone could give me a more short-term help. Thanks!

Hello Maria,

usually the Clean-up functions in MetaTexis works very well.

Please read the FAQ section of the MetaTexis manual. There you find instruction what to do when MetaTexis behaves strangely. In many cases a corrupt "Normal.dot" is responsible for bad behavior. Please follow the instructions to rename/delete the file "Normal.dot".

If this does not help, uninstalling Office/Word and MetaTexis and re-installing both porgrams can help. This usually take... See more

If this does not help, uninstalling Office/Word and MetaTexis and re-installing both porgrams can help. This usually takes only about 15 minutes or so (depending on the speed of your computer).
