I have no idea about remote conexion to computers and would like to know what is the best way of doing this, for example to help other people with software or the like.

try a piece of software called "VNC".

Windows XP Pro has this option but there are numerous applications that will do the job for example

I recommend LogMeIn (www.logmein.com). The most user friendly of them all. I like its sharing functionality. Well worth the money.
