Hello everyone,
I recently got contacted by someone from Hiregigs.org offering a nice proposal. A lot of words at a decent rate, 50% payment after delivery of a 30% of the project.
I've looked for references but I've only found references on two sites: one talks about scam and the other doesn't ...
Has anyone worked with or knows this company?
Thank you very much for your help.
Greetings from Spain.

This, from a client who does not even know you (so has no idea whether or not your translations are any good) sounds very suspicious.
I would proceed with extreme care, or ignore this straightaway, depending on the email address, the wording of the offer, content (book published decades or ages ago? Presentation on obscure subject?) and other red flags.

Just check the website and the job offers.
The webpage template is similar to the scams we already know, such as CraftedFreelancers, SkillClusterPortal, and TranslationReport among others.
Bottom page business description, “Most Job Completed Freelancers” title, and “Latest Job Posts” title are the Lorem Ipsum text.
I clicked the “Japanese Translation” job offer, and it has no text; it's an empty template page.

Hello,
A few ago I found a job on VakVak website from Hiregigs, they replied immediately, and got in touch with me in WhatsAp. They offer a project to be completed in 3-4 days , translation 10000 words to Russian at big price. I think they are scammers

I am very grateful to you for taking the time to confirm my suspicions. Foul play is widespread these days. I was afraid of having lost a potentially good customer, but I am glad I followed my intuition. Too good to be true, what a shame!
Best,
