Is it possible to delete pages of a pdf file? Or copy part of the file to make one separate?

There are probably a number of tools available, freeware, shareware, buyware - just google around.

The one I have is PDFill, freeware available at http://www.pdfill.com/

Sure, you can. Jun 15, 2011

Hello,

You can delete any page in the PDF file; just right click on it in the main window or the pages view in the left side and choose delete.

Hope this helps.

I tried both with Foxit Reader and Adobe Reader - none of these programs have an option to delete pages. Which pdf software do you use?

Adobe Acrobat Jun 16, 2011

It is a good idea to have Acrobat if you are required to work with a lot of PDFs.

Alternatively, try this:

They are both reading only softwares, they cannot edit PDF files.
You need an editor like the ones the colleagues suggested (or you need to buy the full version of Acrobat or Foxit).

If you are on a Mac, Preview (the standard PDF reader included with the operating system) does that. So any person using a Mac will be led to think that this is something easy to do.

PDF Converter Jun 21, 2011

I use Nuance PDF Converter Professional. It is useful for quite a lot of other things too, including annotating and editing pdfs. I have just discovered that it is really good for creating archive files of emails in pdf format. You can compare file content after saving as pdf and delete duplicate entries at that stage. Gets rid of a lot of junk.

Try PDFSam Jun 23, 2011

As a lover of free software, I would recommend PDFSam (http://www.pdfsam.org/?page_id=32) to split documents or remove them. The software also includes possibilities to merge documents, rotate pages, etc.

Acrobat PRO Jul 8, 2011

Acrobat Reader cannot edit files. You need Acrobat PRO. It is better to use this program rather than to install numerous others.
If you cannot afford it now, you can use Print to PDF option (see above).

That's the best option. I had a lot of trouble getting a good pdf converter, though. Tried several with so so results. I recommend Bullzip pdf printer. It's freeware and it's never let me down yet.

In case anyone is wondering, a pdf printer is a prog that installs as a printer, but actually simply converts documents to pdf. That and Sumatra to view pdfs is the simplest, lightest solution I've found yet.

Getting Acrobat pro for this is like fishing a whale to eat some fish for lunch.

Try Nitro Mar 13, 2013

Yes, it is very easy to delete, replace or add pages to PDF files.

I love this program. http://www.nitropdf.com/

It is not as expensive as some other PDF programs and it works great.
