So "a good agency" should be able to send the translator an editable text, or?
Exactly: should be able, otherwise it's not a good agency.
Im my earlier post, I included an example of a PDF file containing 34 scanned pages. When asked by the agency, I agreed to OCR the entire job (12 files, nearly 300 pages scanned). I will translate all of them - that was the reason that I agreed. My computer will need approx. 40 minutes for the PDF-DOC conversion - just as long as I'll be having my lunch.
On the other hand, I've convinced and induced this agency to buy an OCR software ASAP.
