Hello

I've just realized that RWS is not longer offering new customers the option to have a Freelance Plus license, and they are encouraging existing Freelance Plus users to switch to two Freelance licences.

Upgrade from 2019 Plus to 2022 Plus = EUR 1050 (nearly twice the price of non-Plus)
Upgrade from 2019 Plus to 2022 non-Plus = EUR 680
Upgrade from 2019 non-Plus to 2022 Plus = no longer possible
Buy 2022 non-Plus outright = EUR 760

I asked for a quote yesterday. I would like to upgrade to Freelance Plus and as a vendor I see some special offers in my account, but no upgrade option from 2019 Freelance to 2022 Freelance Plus. I'll let you know if they reply.

Freelance Plus licenses were created a number of years ago to enable Freelance Translators to have 2 activations on 2 machines for one named user. For example: 1 x activation on their PC and 1 x activation on their laptop.

Over the years not only has technology moved forward but so has Trados Studio.

Effectively, with Trados Studio Freelance you receive 2 activations – 1 x desktop and 1 x cloud.
