Hello!
I'm working to a japanese-italian translation using a CAT tool for a personal project. Instead of creating a terminology database/glossary by myself, is it possible to download an already existing glossary from the internet? I'm searching for a general glossary and/or a legal one.
Thank you.

Hello Alessandra.

1) Did you check Terminology> KudoZ glossaries and GBK glossary?

2) If you're working in a several fields, you could ask your colleagues and clients.

3) Also it makes sense to create your glossary extracting the terms before translation (e.g. via a free PlusTools) or while translating.

4) If you've got the original and translated papers, you could align them (PlusTool again) both as glossaries or translation memo

5) Checking specialized dictionaries and dedicated online sources also works, when used wisely.

Cheers
