That is correct. There's generally no general sales tax on labor. So in most states of the United States, this is not an issue. An exception is the State of California, where you're supposed to charge a sales tax on certain types of labor. But like Yueyin said, even if sales tax is to be charged, you are just collecting it for the state and local government ...
