For years now, I have wanted to get into literary translations ( Hebrew-English or SPanish-English.
I have a Ph.D in Comp. Lit. and while I enjoy most of my translation work, my long term goal has always been a book. I've done some short pieces, stories, etc. for individual clients, but I'm wondering whether anyone in Canada can tell me about how they went about shopping their work to publishers. Anyone know which are open to this? Any advice would be great...
