English term

tracker rate

English to Lithuanian Bus/Financial Finance (general) mortgages
The phrase occurs in the sentence "your mortgage will be changed to our standard tracker rate unless otherwise agreed". I understand that the phrase "tracker rate" means that the rate of interest payable on the loan follows or tracks the interest rate charged by the European Central Bank.

(palūkanų) norma su bazine dalimi

I am afraid, there is no simple Lithuanian term for "tracker rate". Of course, we can create a word-for-word translation "sekamoji (palūkanų) norma", but such combination of words is not used and would not be understood. In this situation, I suggest to use the shortest possible combination of words explaining the meaning of "tracker rate" – rate (of interest) with base part (e.g. LIBOR, rate set by BOE, etc.). (Another part is margin ("marža"), rate of interest set by bank.)
