cardan OU articulation de barre d'accouplement
Explanation:
Although 'cardan' is the more usual term for a UJ, on something like a mower there is (usually) no rotational drive involved, so I think 'articulation' is more appropriate (cf. GDT for some examples)

As for towbar, on a mower I would see this more as coupling the two halves together, rather than actually towing anything, so I don't think 'barre de remorquage' is really suitable (cf. FR > EN glossary for a previous question on that one)

I think Francis has found exactly the right word for towbar there with 'timon'

agree  Tony M: 'timon' is great, but I wonder if 'articulation' isn't more appropriate for the UJ?

Tony, I agree with you completely. In towing, there is no rotational movement, but only push and pull. THANKS

neutral  Tony M: As I pointed out in my answer, 'cardan' may not be applicable here, since rotational drive is not incolved; and I don't quite know how you arrived at 'remarkage', but even if it were correctly spelt, I don't believe this is its function as such
