Pound

Explanation:
The British currency at the time of the Ottoman Empire was the Golden Pound but 1915 saw the change from gold coin to paper money.

Refrences:
"In 1816, the basis of English money changed from the value of silver to the value of gold. We adopted the Gold Standard. From now onwards, the intrinsic value of silver coins would be substantially below their face value. The Guinea was withdrawn and the basic monetary unit became the pound, which was represented by the Sovereign coin."

----

915 saw the start of the permanent change from gold coin to paper money. The crown was also no longer issued for general circulation, although small numbers would continue to be minted for special purposes. Ten shilling and one pound notes of this period were issued by The Treasury, not the Bank of England.

----------
The lira (Arabic, ليرة) or livre (French) (English pound, ISO 4217: LBP) is the currency unit of Lebanon. It is divided into 100 qirsh (Arabic, قرش) or piastres (French) but inflation has eliminated the subdivisions.
