Tengo una duda sobre si es correcto:
...quien fuera mi alumna en la cátedra de derecho procesal en sus estudios de pregrado....
...as she attended "my Chair on" criminal procedure law during her undergraduate studies...
¿Es correcta esta forma de ponerlo?
Otro ejemplo:
Profesor Ordinario de la Escuela de Derecho (...) en la cátedra de derecho civil....
Ordinary Professor of the civil law Chair ...

I went to Law School in Australia and I am a Solicitor, una cátedra is not a Department, it is a Course or Subject -- for Profesor Ordinario de la Escuela de Derecho (...) en la cátedra.... I would say Lecturer in Civil Law, Faculty of Law, cheers AB

A cátedra is, at least in theory, a university unit headed by a 'catedrático' (senior full professor) who holds the 'chair' of a particular subject. (I say this from personal experience in Spanish universities.)

: yes, unless the distinction between "civil procedure" and "criminal procedure" becomes necessary in which case it might be better expressed as "department/section of criminal procedural law" or "department/section of civil procedural law"
