Yes, I also thought of that. But I didn't suggest it for the simple reason that I'm not sure whether it has a more or less exact equivalent in Polish. Thank you :-)

strong-arm diplomacy

Wielokrotnie pojawiało się w prasie (np. w The Guardian z 3.11.2004, Polly Toynbee, "In the war on drugs, Europe must make a separate peace") w odniesieniu do polityki USA.
